Registry services are moved to secondary site in Trondheim 2019-05-07
On Tuesday 7th of May 2019, Norid plan to move the registry services to the registry site in Trondheim. The date for the move back to Oslo will be announced at a later date.
The services will be unavailable Tuesday 7th of May 2019 between 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM CEST.
We expect to use less than the allocated four hours for the switch. The systems will be available again as soon as the work is finished.
The name service will not be affected.
The switch from the primary to the secondary site will be done by changing the DNS records for the various services, so that they will point to the site in Trondheim instead of Oslo.
For registrars that maintain access lists or have firewalls that regulate access to Norid’s services, please ensure that your configurations are updated with the IP addresses used for both the Trondheim site and the Oslo site.
The addresses used by the Trondheim site are: 126.96.36.199/29, 2001:700:4600:5::/64
The addresses used by the Oslo site are: 188.8.131.52/29, 2001:700:4601:5::/64
If these changes cause problems for any of our registrars, please contact Norid’s help desk at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone +47 73 55 73 55.
