Norid will upgrade the registry system on Tuesday 2 September, from 09:00 to 10:00 CEST.

During the upgrade, the services may be periodically unavailable, as we have to close access to them in order to introduce the new code in a stable and controlled manner. This upgrade will bring the following changes:

  • Registrar web: New item in the Admin/Public Data tab for specifying membership in the Dot-ENNO registrar association. We will later publish this information in the registrar list on our web pages.

  • Whois: Display of DNSSEC data for domains. Various bugfixes, more correct response from requests for invalid sub domains and domains with invalid characters.

  • EPP: Automatic processing of host update 24 hours a day. The command will still give return code '1001 Command completed successfully; action pending', but will then be processed automatically shortly after. We will soon start publishing zonefiles outside office hours and on all weekdays. We will send out a message with more information about this.

  • Dnscheck in EPP: Bugfix, we now allow hostnames under any top level domains as long as they exist in DNS.

  • Autorenewal is changed so that the domains are renewed the day before they expire instead of after.

  • samtykke.norid.no: Input field for specifying the email address of the registrar and have a copy of the applicants declaration sent to this address. The field is optional.
