After the introduction of the electronic applicant declaration form, we have looked at different solutions for the applicant declarations on paper that are archived by the registrars.
After a thorough legal evaluation we will make a change in the Domain name policy for .no which means that when the holder renews a domain he also renews his consent to the current applicant declaration. The policy change is described here.
This means that all applicant declarations on paper can be discarded one year after the policy change comes into force. At that time all domains have been renewed, and the holders have accepted the policy change through the renewal.
Please note that the applicant declaration should be signed as normal for new registrations and holder changes.
The policy change will be in force for all new registrations and renewals of .no domains after 1 January 2015.
