It is soon time for transition to the new payment model where each registrar has their own account which can be filled as needed. The new model will be in effect from 1 December 2017.

Registrars that have not submitted a payment on their account by this date will not be able to submit transactions which demand payment (registration, renewal of domains and change of holder).

Schedule for 1 December

As of 1 December all transactions which demand payment will be deducted from the prepaid amount.

On the morning of 1 December we will execute the invoicing of all transactions done in November. This invoice will be issued as normal.

At 11 am the registrar web will be updated with the new balance which consists of your prepayments. Transactions commited before 11 am will be deducted from the balance before it is published.

As a consequence of the transition from deposits to prepayments, the registry system will be unavailable for a short period of time, 15 minutes at the most. We will send out information on the email list for registars as soon as the system is running again.

Registration of prepayments

Registrars who have made a prepayment before 1 December will have their balance updated. The same is also the case for registrars who have asked to have their deposit transferred to the new payment model.

We recommend that all registrars log into the registrar web after the alteration and check that their balance is correct.

Before 1 December it is possible to see that a prepayment is received by checking the prepayment history on the registrar web under the tab 'Daily' and 'Status files'.

Registrars who still have not commited a prepayment must do so as soon as possible in order to be able to register and renew domains after 1 December 2017.
