Norid will upgrade the registry system on Tuesday 20 May, from 09:00 to 10:00 CET.

During the upgrade, the services may be periodically unavailable, as we have to close access to them in order to introduce the new code in a stable and controlled manner. This upgrade will bring the following changes:

  • New code for registry and clients to prepare for the launch of new private domain names in June. It will then be possible to use the Applicant's declaration automat to generate declarations also for private domains outside 'priv.no' .

  • Registrarweb:
    • Removed parameter 'Skip pending for delete/holder change' under the 'Admin/Registry Access' tab as it is no longer relevant.
    • The 'bonus adjustment' column is removed from the 'saldo' data dump, as this bonus never has been used as intended.
    • The data dump for 'whois' is now compressed with gzip and available for download only, the reason is that this file can become very large.
    • The data dump for 'handlemap' is removed, as this was only relevant in the initial phase of the new registry in 2010.

  • Various bug fixes.
