2018 brings new and stricter rules for processing personal data. In order to make the purpose of Norid’s processing of data about domain name holders clear, we will update the Applicant's statement.

This is especially important for those registrars that collect the Applicant's statement through their own systems. You need to be ready to swap out the current text with the new version that goes into production on 22 May.

The current version of the Applicant's statement, version 2.0, will remain valid in an overlap period lasting until 19 June. Starting on that date, the registry system will only accept version 3.0.

Here is the new Applicant's declaration.

We also make some changes to clauses 15 and 16 in the domain name policy, as well as adding a new clause 18. You can learn more about that here.
