This page shows examples of EPP XML sequences between an EPP client and the EPP server.

Sequences for new data model is standard, and sequences for old model were removed. The number of sequences is therefore reduced.
The examples are mostly dumped via a Net::DRI command line client developed for .no, but for service messages, the web client for EPP and the client’s log function has also been used.

Private domain create - lottery mode
Lottery mode. Private domain create.
Sequences for two application variants are shown:
1) An application #1 for domain 'foster.no'
2) An application #2 also for domain 'foster.no'
These are all put in pending/lottery queue and will get the final answer in a late-response
service message when the result from the lottery is decided.
1) and 2) competes for the same domain name. Only one applicant will win the lottery and
get the delegation. In the example sequence it is the applicant #2 who wins the lottery
and receives the first answer in a sevice message. From now on the delegation exists.
Applicant #1 will then get a reject. The reject will look just like any reject to an
application which tries to register a delegation that already exists.

Comments regarding the request:
- As for a normal private domain create, the registrant need to be created in advance.
- A technical contact is added, being the same as the registrant (can be another contact)
- two existing name servers, which is the minimum for .NO
