We have asked our bank about this and been told that this is possible as long as the registrar sends us an email where they ask for the deposit to be transferred. By transferring the deposit you accept the terms in the new agreement in the same way as with a payment.
This means that all registrars that wish to have their total deposit transferred to the new payment model can send an email to email@example.com where they request this. Registrars who want their deposit repaid, and still have not sent us their bank details, should do so as soon as possible.
Repayment of the deposit will start 1 November, as informed previously.
