Change of certificate authority for TLS certificates
We are preparing a change of the certificate authority for all our public web services, including our EPP service.
Norid makes some changes to the acceptable use policy
We have reviewed the limits in the acceptable use policy for Norid’s registry system. There has been a while since the limits were set, and a review shows that some of the limits may have been set too low compared to the needs of some registrars.
Norid warns against fraud
Over the last few days several people have received an email supposedly from Norid. In this email the recipient is asked to click on a link to pay an invoice for a domain subscription. This is fraud.
Are registrars covered by the Digital Services Act (DSA)?
The European Digital Services Act (DSA) was adopted in 2022 and will eventually be incorporated into Norwegian law through the EEA Agreement.

The lottery for the domain names ans.no, da.no and the domain names «ans» and «da» under the geograpical domains and category domains administered by Norid is now finished and the result is ready.

The EPP-service and EPP-client will be closed for a short period today
As previously informed, the EPP-service and eppclient.norid.no (EPP-client) will be closed for all processing of applications today, Monday 10 June, at 9.30 am CET.
Norid opens for registration of da.no and ans.no – the transition period day by day
Norid opens for registration of the previously reserved domain names da.no and ans.no, as well as domain names like da.trondheim.no, ans.oslo.no and many more. A lottery will determine who will be allocated the domain names.
SSL/TLS certificate renewal – 2024-05-21
Tuesday 2024-05-21 at 10:00 - 11:00 CEST, Norid will perform renewal of SSL/TLS certificate for registry services.
